Transitional Life Skills Program
Program offerings
A Full-Time Transitional Life Skills program is offered for students who have completed High School and require a post-secondary program to build the practical, vocational, and social skills needed to successfully navigate their path towards independent living. Program offerings include:
- Culinary Arts
- Farming
- Eurythmy
- Practical Math
- Woodwork and Fiber Crafts
- Elder Care
- Additional Therapies, as needed
For much of their learning, students are immersed in real-world work environments such as a commercial kitchen, a working farm, a craft studio, a small cafe and store, and an elder care facility. They are integrated socially with upper grades students, and can be a helpful presence for story time or recess with the younger grades.
