The Otto Specht School is very pleased to welcome Dr. Lakshmi to speak with parents, educators, doctors and those with curiosity or concern about the future of education. With Lakshmi we will explore the needs of today’s children, what they are teaching us and asking of us, and how we can meet them where they are.

Dr. Lakshmi Prasanna works around the world with several Steiner Schools and as a trainer of various Anthroposophical students and professionals. Lakshmi uses an integrated approach towards child development and treatment which includes consultation, teacher training, child development, workshops for parents, and family meetings. Lakshmi speaks on many related topics including Waldorf Education and how it works with the developing child’s physiology and psychology, our digestive organs and our will, the sensory system and its needs, rhythm, parenting, and so much more.

Dr. Lakshmi Prasanna is the co-founder and past president of the Anthroposophical Medical Society in India.

Lakshmi developed an interest in helping children with autism from a metabolic and sensory perspective based on Rudolf Steiner’s indications. She is the founder of a curative center for special needs children, Saandeepani, in Hyderabad, South India.
